Learn how to configure and manage email notifications to keep your users informed about feedback updates, status changes, and community activity.

Overview

FeedbackNexus automatically sends email notifications to keep users engaged and informed about:

  • Feedback status changes
  • New comments on items they follow
  • Responses from your team

Notification Settings

Portal-Level Settings

Access Notification Settings:

  1. Go to SettingsNotification Settings
  2. Configure global notification preferences

Notification Types

Feedback Status Changes

When Triggered:

  • Feedback moves from New → Under Review
  • Status changes to Planned, In Progress, or Completed

Who Gets Notified:

  • Feedback Author: Person who submitted the feedback
  • Voters: Users who voted for the item
  • Followers: Users explicitly following the item
  • Commenters: Users who participated in discussions

New Comments

When Triggered:

  • Team member responds to feedback
  • User adds comment to discussion

Who Gets Notified:

  • Feedback Author: Original submitter
  • Previous Commenters: Others in the discussion
  • Followers: Users following the item
